CLOSET ORGANIZING

We make getting ready easy.

Closet Organizing

Organize your closet today! We specialize in Closet Organizing in Boston, MA.

Closet organizing is the backbone of my business, and what I would call a crucial component to starting to live your new decluttered life. Closet Organizing is a multi-step process that needs to be followed in order to make the most of my services.

Empty it all out!

First, we will empty your entire closet and review the condition of the closet itself. The shelves, hanging poles, the overall storage, etc. This will help us later determine if the closet is suitable for the ultimate goal of the project, or whether additional closet design is required.

Organized closet shelvingThe next step to an organized closet is parting ways with clothes you have not worn in awhile. Generally, we will get rid of clothes that you have not worn in the last 12-months. We will also go through all of your existing items and identify the ones that are worn out and possibly damaged. During the process we will also identify clothes that you may want to replace with new similar items. All of the items we remove will be donated to a local donation center, such as the Goodwill or Salvation Army, assuming they are in good condition.

Once we identify the clothes that you will keep we will start organizing them by type and color. All of your shirts, pants, jackets, shoes and accessories will be separated and neatly placed back in a designated space.

Step 1: Closet Assessment

  1. Try on all items in your closet and drawers.
  2. Separate all items into (3) piles: keep, bring to tailors, or donate.

Step 2: Reorganize Your Closet

  1. All items that we will keep will be put back into the closet with the following MUSTS:
    • The item had to have been worn in the last 12 months.
    • Be in clean, wearable condition (no stains, holes or pilling knits!).
    • Fit you properly.
    • MOST IMPORTANT: Make you feel great when you are wearing it!
  2. We will then place all of your items back into the closet in a functional manor to allow for easy viewing and access down the road.

Step 3: Replace and Update

  1. Once we identify what is missing and needs to be replaced, or items you are in need of, we will shop for those items based on style and budget.

Key Points

  1. Your closet will be organized by type (shirts, pants, shoes, jackets, accessories, etc) and color.
